Mexican Seasonal & Holiday Food
Like many other cultures, Mexican cuisine has several dishes that are commonly reserved for special holidays and seasons. The three main seasons are Lent, Day of the Dead, and the Winter Holidays (Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Three Kings’ Day).
Our Mexican holiday meals are full of traditions and memories that we enjoy sharing with our loved ones. In some families, the recipes have been passed down for generations.
Fruit Punch, buñuelos, and tamales for Christmas, Roasted Pork Leg for New Year’s, Three Kings Bread in January, and Capirotada during Lent Season are just a few of the dishes that are not only unique, but also have a special meaning for us.
