However, growing up in Mexico, the first sight of Tangerines at markets or stands only meant one thing: it was fall season. Among the favorite winter fruits in Mexico is the Tangerine. You can find this citrus fruit in almost every Altar de Muertos and goodie bags given to children at parties. With that said, you get the idea of how much we love this fruit in Mexico.

How to Make Tangerine Mint Agua Fresca
Ingredients
Here is the list of ingredients you need for this recipe:
- Tangerine juice
- Water
- Fresh mint leaves
- White granulated sugar
- Ice cubes or crushed ice
- Extra slices of tangerines and mint leaves as garnishes (optional)
Instructions:
This recipe is straightforward, so there is no need to separate the recipe into steps or use a blender.
- To make the juice, after rinsing the tangerines, cut them in half. You can squeeze the juice using an electric or manual juicer or pressing it with your hand to extract it. Once all the tangerines have been juiced, discard the seeds by removing them with a spoon or strain using a fine mesh strainer.
- Place the juice in a large pitcher, pour the water, add the minced mint, and stir in the sugar until it completely dissolves and is all blended.
- Store in the fridge to cool and serve with the ice cubes. You can also enjoy it right away; however, it tastes better when it is really cold.
- Before serving, add some extra slices of fruit and mint sprigs.

- 6 tbs sugar
- 2 cups ice
