Pink Banana Agua Fresca, In Mexico, we don’t just eat fruits, but we enjoy drinking them, too. Yes, we make all types of “Aguas Frescas” using fruits, herbs, and even grains and seeds. All of these drinks are very delicious. I hope you enjoy this delicious recipe.

  • 2 medium-sized ripe bananas*
  • 1 1/2 cup of milk
  • 3 1/3 cups of water
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 5 drops of red food coloring or grenadine syrup**
  • 2 cups of ice cubes
  • A dash of ground cinnamon


  • Place peeled bananas, milk, water, sugar, vanilla and food coloring or grenadine into a blender, and process until you have a very smooth mixture.
  • Pour into a pitcher and add the ice cubes. Dust with some ground cinnamon when served.


*Use ripe bananas since they are sweeter and you won’t need to add more sugar.
** The food coloring or grenadine is optional. The pink option is a very popular way to sell it in Mexico.
