Mango Salsa or Mango pico de Gallo is a delicious and refreshing recipe perfect as an appetizer or for summertime gatherings. Combining juicy fresh mango, tangy lime juice, spicy jalapeno, and fresh cilantro creates a flavor explosion that will impress your guests.
2plump tomatoes cut into cubesor 1 cup of cherry tomatoes slice in halves
1 Jalapeño pepperfinely chopped
½cuponion choppedred or white
⅓cupchopped fresh cilantro
½tablespoonfresh lime juice
1teaspoonsalt and pepper
Other Ingredients to make it your own:
½cupred bell pepper finely chopped
1Habanero pepperfinely diced
Instructions
Use a sharp knife and a cutting board to carefully peel and Make a cut on each side of the pit, staying as close to the pit as possible. Then chop the mangoes flesh into cubes pieces.
Then, remove the seeds of the jalapeños and chop them into small pieces.
Chopped the red onion, tomatoes, and fresh cilantro.
Combine the mango and the rest of the chopped ingredients in a bowl. Add a handful of chopped cilantro and squeeze in the juice of one lime.
Finally, season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything together and let it sit for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Serve with tortilla chips or as a topping for grilled chicken or fish.
